Waldwirtschaft Beer Garden Opening – (22 April) – Canceled

Hello Members,

Because of the terrible weather this weekend the Waldwirtschaft has decided to cancel the Beer Garden Opening this Saturday (22nd April) and move to a date in May.  As soon as we have a fixed date we will inform you of the new date.  Even though we had planned to be in a closed tent on Saturday, we believe that no one is excited about going outside in weather like this.

Art Card Project – Talents needed !

Attention MIWC Artists

We need your talents to make this year’s Art Card project another success. Two years ago, 10 MIWC artists created original artwork for notecards that raised €600 for the club.

This year we are assembling works of solely graphic mediums (paintings, drawings etc. no photos).

Please contact Renee at rbuenting@gmail.com by April 10 if you are interested. We will be scheduling our brainstorming meeting to decide on the theme in April.

MIWC Monthly Meeting – April 12, 2017

The topic for April’s meeting will be “Munich Volkshochschule and Educational Opportunities in English“.  The Munich Volkshochschule (MVHS), Germany’s largest adult education centre, offers a wide range of courses on a huge variety of subjects, including arts and crafts, 54 languages, cooking, music and drama etc.  With just under 400,000 non-German residents in Munich, the MVHS decided, in Spring 2016, to introduce a new programme aimed directly at Munich’s expatriate community.

In this presentation Tina Kagemann, Head of Languages, will introduce you to the Munich Volkshochschule and Emma Jones, CELTA Course Director and Coordinator for MVHS in English will show you a variety of educational opportunities offered in our MVHS in English programme including the world recognized CELTA Certificate (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults).
